FERAL KITTENS BRING EDUCATION TO MRS. WHITE'S KINDERGARTEN CLASS
Mrs. White's Patriot School Kindergarten class had special visitors last week...the furry kind! Connie, a volunteer and foster home for Feline Friendz, took two kittens, Murray & Poppy to let the children experience the love and joy these furry companions can bring to a human's life. But the children also learned about the tragedies these little lives can suffer, when people don't reach out to help them or spay and neuter.
And that's where the education came in. Mrs. White, a cat lover and Feline Friendz supporter, spoke with the class, teaching them how even young hearts like theirs can reach out and help kittens like Murray & Poppy.

Mrs. White taught the children the importance of proper care for companion animals, so that other kittens and cats don't end up alone and in need of a rescue like Murray and Poppy. The class was able to cuddle and play with the kittens, learning how to properly handle them as well. The students enjoyed playtime the most, but it wasn't long before Murray & Poppy were ready for a nap, snuggled up together.

The children then presented little homemade blankets for Murray & Poppy, to keep them snuggly warm. It was impressed upon Feline Friendz volunteer, Connie, that the blankets were to go with the kittens when they are adopted. Education opportunities like Mrs. White's class empowers children to learn about proper care for companion animals, in hopes that they will grow up to be responsible animal caretakers.
